This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!

My photography teacher completely ripped into my latest assignment.
Let me qualify this rant. I am far from an angsty teen upset because of a difference of artistic opinion with a teacher. I digress...
Firstly the teacher talks about my composition, how it's completely wrong and doesn't work. I point out to him it's IDENTICAL to the sketch he made for my tight layout. He tells me it just doesn't work.
Then he launches into a lecture about how my black and whites aren't black and white enough. I show him the photoshop file with 0% saturation and even turn the whole thing to greyscale in front of him. He goes on...
Well it must be because your original color isn't right. Everything is too green. Your camera wasn't metering for white balance properly, you should have set it to manual.
My response, "But you instructed us to use nothing BUT auto white balance for this shoot."
Well, I would have never wanted you to shoot in such a complex environment, it's just no good.
My response, "I'm confused. This is the EXACT same location to a couple of inches that I shot every single assignment that I have turned in thus far, and those all received A's. And we're three weeks into the final assignment, and you're just NOW telling me it's not right?"
He just stares at me, "Go get your camera and I'll show you how to set the white balance." So I grab it, return, and start sorting through the menus. He looks at it, and then looks at me, and the absolute perfect next statement comes from him.
"Can you read it to me, I can't see anything without my glasses."
I just stare at him. You spent the last 10 minutes critiquing my photo and you can't even see it??
